Externally resembling the sequential series and thus offering a visual aesthetic match at the brand level, the audiolab 7000CDT improves on the 6000CDT with a new mechanism, USB HDD playback and a new color IPS LCD screen! More compact than the 9000 series and perfectly matched to the 6000 and 8300 series, it maintains sharp ergonomics, high-quality engineering and excellent all-round performance

New series, same standards

The 7000CDT uses a high-precision optical system with an electronic data buffer for accurate, gap-free CD playback. Very similar in technology to the 9000CDT, the 7000CDT uses a digital read-ahead buffer to reduce disc read errors, helping it to play scratched and damaged CDs that would otherwise be unreadable with conventional mechanisms. To ensure a flawless signal reaches the accompanying DAC, the 7000CDT's coaxial output is fed by a differential line driver. The master clock is controlled by a high-precision crystal oscillator, allowing the digital output from both the coaxial and optical sockets to display incredibly low levels of jitter (digital distortion).

Vibration isolation

The 7000CDT’s low-friction loading tray, robust aluminium base and chassis work to cope with vibration from the mechanics of a high-speed motor. Additionally, the transport is mounted in its own electromagnetically shielded enclosure with a dedicated power supply. All of these contribute to exemplary digital signal extraction, while proven resonance reduction further improves performance and subsequent effect in ancillary Hi-Fi equipment and signal chains.

Digital files in any format

In addition to its class-leading CD playback design, the 7000CDT also offers compatible digital music files via a dedicated USB “Type A” connection on the rear of the unit. Every significant high-resolution and lossless audio format is available, including WAV, AAC and WMA, as well as legacy compressed MP3 formats.

Taking heavy cues from the flagship 9000CDT, the 7000CDT improves upon the 6000CDT with a
2.8" (48 x 64 mm) full-color IPS display with a detailed yet easy-to-use GUI. The 7000CDT thus offers a vivid representation of information, including system settings, format, folder, song details and other data.
