High-purity PSC+ and LGC True-Concentric conductors
With only perfect-surface copper (PSC+) on the outside, Monsoon conductors are essentially all PSC+, despite the core being made of long-grain copper (LGC). Both the superior metal and conductor geometry significantly reduce transient intermodulation (TIM) distortion, which can cause hearing fatigue.

ZERO Technology
While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance to accommodate high current demands, a cable's characteristic impedance is also critical for optimal performance. Unlike most AC cables that restrict or compress audio-induced transients, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero characteristic impedance to deliver uncompressed high-current transients on demand.

RF/ND TECHNOLOGY
AC ground wires can provide protection from electrical short circuits, but they also act as an antenna. Therefore, they are susceptible to induced radio frequency (RF) noise. This RF noise bypasses component power supplies and is typically coupled directly into a system's most sensitive audio/video circuitry. AudioQuest's RF/ND technology significantly reduces this distortion, producing unprecedented levels of noise dissipation across the widest possible radio frequency bandwidth (range). Our unique circuit topology utilizes a common-mode phase-cancelling array, combined with proprietary dielectric materials that provide additional linear differential filtering. DIRECTIONALITY
All drawn metal wires or conductors have a non-symmetrical grain structure and are therefore directional. AudioQuest controls the resulting RF impedance change so that noise is diverted away from where it would otherwise cause distortion. The correct direction is determined by listening to each batch of metal conductors used in every AudioQuest audio cable. Where applicable, arrows are clearly marked on the connectors to ensure superior audio quality. For most AQ cable models, the arrows not only indicate the direction that optimizes the directionality of the metal for noise dissipation, but also indicate the non-symmetrical connection of the shield and GND to optimize the performance of the entire system.
