THE CHALLENGE : No matter how perfect an AC power source, distortion is added inside any AC cable. Even the most sophisticated filters and power supplies cannot eliminate this Transient Intermodulation (TIM) distortion as the induced RF noise modulates the low-level audio/video signal.
THE SOLUTION : NRG-Z3 cables utilize directionally controlled Perfect-Surface Copper (PSC) strands in a semi-solid concentric conductor arrangement where the strands are packed more tightly together and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces strand interaction distortion. The extremely pure, smooth-surface PSC conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries that exist in every metal conductor.
The NRG-Z3's Ground Noise-Dissipation System and direction-controlled Silver-Plated shield conductors effectively drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third "ground" pin. Additionally. The NRG-Z3's Common-Mode Phase-Cancelling Array provides additional differential linear filtering. The net result is powerful, dynamic and engaging!

ZERO CHARACTERISTIC IMPEDANCE
While many AC power cables feature low DC resistance to accommodate high current demands, a cable’s characteristic impedance is also critical for optimum performance. Unlike most AC cables that constrict or compress an audio-induced transient, AudioQuest AC cables combine low DC resistance and zero (no) characteristic impedance to deliver uncompressed transients on demand.
PERFECT SURFACE SEMI-SOLID CONCENTRIC COPPER CONDUCTORS (PSC)
In a semi-solid concentric arrangement, the conductor strands are packed more tightly together and never change position within the bundle. This construction significantly reduces distortion between strands. High purity, smooth surface PSC conductors minimize distortion caused by grain boundaries that exist within any metallic conductor.
SILVER PLATED DRAINAGE CONDUCTORS
Directionally controlled, silver-plated shield conductors effectively drain RF noise from the line and neutral shields to ground via the third “ground” pin. The net result is powerful, dynamic and engaging.
