Today's loudspeakers are capable of reproducing the entire frequency range of music at lifelike levels, including the deepest, growling bass, the most subtle midrange nuances and the finest, sparkling highs. The prerequisite are amplifiers that master the art of letting the music flow freely, but keeping the loudspeakers under tight control at all times. There are many reasons for their musicality. One of them is an extremely stable power supply consisting of a transformer capable of delivering up to 1500 watts of peak power and four capacitors with a capacity of no less than 132 millifarads. Another is the fully balanced driver stage. And let's not forget the output stage in "Diamond" topology that maintains its low impedance at all frequencies and phase angles without feedback. The four high-performance Sanken transistors are connected directly to the speaker terminals, an example of the shortest possible signal path, which results in an extremely compact design.

One last curiosity: a »Stereo« amplifier costs half as much as two »Mono« ones, even though we like to think it sounds just as good!
