With the Reference Sub you can add a powerful active subwoofer to our Reference speaker models. This front-firing subwoofer offers incomparably dynamic bass reproduction thanks to its large housing volume and integrated downfire passive membrane. It is precisely tuned and is ideal for complementing stereo systems and supporting home cinema systems in the low frequency range. The Reference Sub has high-power amplifier performance and uses various innovative Canton technologies such as black ceramic tungsten membranes, multi-fold wave edges, bass guide, SC technology and room compensation. These features enable precise and powerful bass reproduction, even with demanding bass passages in films. The Reference Sub, available in two different versions, fits harmoniously into the new Reference series.

Cinema and music
The Reference Sub is a powerful addition to our new Reference series and, with its dynamic and precise playing style, ideally supports stereo and home cinema systems. The design is adapted to the new Reference models so that they can be harmoniously integrated into your Reference speaker system and living space. The elegant Frontfire subwoofer features a 308 mm BCT chassis, which is supported by an equally large passive membrane on the bottom of the housing for bass reproduction. Its digital power amplifier with up to 750 watts safely powers the subwoofer. Thanks to the Reference Sub's integrated DSPs and room compensation technology, the active subwoofer reproduces precisely up to 18 Hertz. The Reference Sub can also be adapted to the room acoustics in three stages. The Reference subwoofer is the perfect acoustic companion for movie nights and lets you experience every moment of the film intensely.

Equipment and technology
The Reference Sub is a front-firing subwoofer with support for a passive down-firing radiator. In order to be able to work precisely and safely at any volume level, the 308 mm chassis is suspended in the latest generation of triple-wave surrounds. Compared to conventional surrounds, the waved edges allow significantly larger deflections and reduce sound distortions. High or low level inputs allow connection to an amplifier or AV receiver. The volume level, crossover frequency and phase can be continuously adjusted using the powerful active module on the back of the subwoofer. The technical features of the 37 kilogram reference subwoofer are rounded off by an automatic on/off switch.
