Chord Hugo M Scaler is a highly advanced standalone upscaler that redefines the sound quality of digital audio. It uses Rob Watts' exclusive WTA filtering technology, the world's most advanced, to upscale 44.1kHz digital audio to 705.6kHz, 16 times the resolution of a native CD of 44.1kHz. After being upscaled by the M Scaler, the digital signal is ready for DAC decoding. When paired with the Chord Electronics Qutest, Hugo 2, Hugo TT 2, or DAVE DACs, Hugo M Scaler increases upscaling performance to 768kHz via its dual BNC inputs (96kHz input data).

Hugo M Scaler brings the benefits of revolutionary FPGA-based WTA (Watts Transient Alignment) filtering technology to digital HiFi chains. The result is a significant improvement in the sound quality of connected audio devices. Although optimized for use with selected Chord Electronics DACs (for maximum upscaling/decoding benefits to 768 kHz), Hugo M Scaler can be used with other DACs with suitable inputs, depending on their decoding capabilities.
