When the team at Dan Clark Audio set out to build an electrostatic headphone, they started from scratch, seeking to create a product that improved on all aspects of previous electrostatics on the market, such as midrange transparency and detail resolution, and added an immersive low-end experience and a wide, believable soundstage, while reducing the high-frequency emphasis typical of some electrostats.

The team went to great lengths to design the VOCE, reinventing everything from the large 88mm driver to the custom-built silver cable that came with it. Dan Clark Audio even built a dedicated clean room in the factory to produce the VOCE, to ensure the highest quality and reliability. And with a failure rate of less than 1% after nearly two years of production, it’s safe to say that their efforts have been in the right direction.
