Description
First released in 1978 and winner of the prestigious (at the time) Design and Engineering Award at the CES in Chicago in 1978 and 1981, the new Dynavector 10X5 MKII MC cartridge represents a new benchmark in high output MC cartridge performance that does not require an MC phono stage or preamplifier.

Stylus for MC 10X5mk2 cartridges
Along with several exclusive Dynavector technologies including magnetic flux damping, patented softened magnetism and powerful neodymium magnets that deliver the smooth treble response that Dynavector is renowned for.
The Dynavector 10X5 MKII also features an improved stylus assembly with the “Shibata III” line of bare diamond contact stylus and an improved hardened cantilever material. These improvements ensure confident tracking ability even on the most twisted record grooves, resulting in extended high-frequency response and improved musical resolution.
Dynavector's legendary coil winding technology using the finest wire has allowed the Dynavector 10X5 MKII to minutely increase the coil windings and achieve an impedance reduction to 150 ohms whilst maintaining a healthy 2.8mV output.
Mounting of the cartridge to the tonearm is achieved by a rigid red aluminium headblock which provides a stable platform for the cartridge together with easy and secure attachment to the tonearm.
