Drawing on Dynavector’s “Dispersion Theory” that produced the world’s first original KARAT series, Dynavector is very proud to announce the all-new KARAT Diamond 17DX phono cartridge. As with the past KARAT series, the new KARAT 17DX’s frequency response from 20 to 20,000 Hz is ruler-flat providing extremely accurate groove tracking ability. However, several new features will ensure that the new 17DX will soon earn the same legendary status and will soon surpass its predecessors.
Features and improvements
The rationale behind the new KARAT 17DX was to significantly improve upon the now legendary original KARAT series. After exhaustive listening and technical research, the decision was made to incorporate a machined solid brass body, samarium cobalt magnets for lower magnetic resistance, unparalleled voice coil winding techniques, the incredible 1.7mm long cantilever with Micro Ridge stylus all combined into a new KARAT 17DX that will delight the listener, providing clear, articulate reproduction of analogue recordings without a hint of harshness in the high frequency range.
