With the introduction of the Linear in 2004, Lehmannaudio raised the sound quality of headphone amplifiers to a new level. The Drachenfels represents a new generation of headphone amplifiers: an entry-level model with cutting-edge technology and, thanks to its modular construction, can be upgraded with new functions at any time. In terms of sound, it is particularly impressive due to its extraordinary richness of detail, combined with perfect control of the soundstage. Even in the most difficult passages, the sound image remains stable and full of details.

The modular design, realized with cutting-edge components, opens up new perspectives for lovers of quality music with sustainability demands. Streaming via WLAN or Ethernet, Bluetooth, digital or modular PC cards, will be available soon, so that the Drachenfels is the right solution for different needs. Even with the advent of new digital standards, a simple change of modules and the rear panel will be enough to allow the update!
Drachenfels has a gain of 12dB, thanks to the excellent ALPS Blue Velvet potentiometer, with its very low noise and excellent synchronism, making the classic gain switch present on other products unnecessary. In stand-by mode, the power consumption is less than 1W. Furthermore, its small size, facilitates positioning in the environment.
