Exceptional playback of Compact Discs and high-resolution audio files
Part of LUXMAN’s NeoClassico II series, the compact D-N150 combines uncompromising audiophile design with exceptional flexibility. The bona fide audio includes a 5mm thick aluminum chassis and internal parts selected through exhaustive listening tests. Flexibility comes in the form of coaxial, optical and USB digital inputs to convert high-resolution audio files into beautiful, unconstrained analog sound.
CD transport and D/A converter
The D-N150 shares the same CD transport as LUXMAN’s highly regarded D-380. Carefully auditioned parts include LUXMAN’s power transformer, filter capacitors, Schottky barrier diodes, and OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) wire. The Texas Instruments PCM5102A digital-to-analog converter helps deliver a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB, presenting the music against a background very close to absolute silence.
Coaxial, Optical and USB input with Bulk Pet® transfer
You can use the D-N150’s built-in digital-to-analog converter to play external sources. The coaxial and optical inputs accept S/PDIF signals up to 192 kHz/24-bit, while the USB input accepts PCM signals for personal computers up to 192 kHz/32-bit. The D-N150 is the first LUXMAN product to support Bulk Pet®* transmission in addition to conventional isochronous USB transfer. This achieves great sound while reducing the processing load on the DAC. The optical output allows the D-N150 to be used as a single DAC hub.*Bulk Pet® is a registered trademark of INTERFACE Co.,LTD.
High quality aluminum remote control
The aluminum remote control feels substantial in the hand. This remote not only controls the D-N150 digital player, but also the volume of the corresponding amplifier SQ-N150.
Sober design
The D-N150 has a compact “A4” footprint, measuring just 210 x 297 mm (8-1/4 x 11-3/4 inches), excluding protruding parts. The 5 mm thick aluminum chassis features an elegant sandblasted white finish. The finished controls provide a subtle contrast between the white and silver.
