A complete phono equalizer designed for rich vinyl playback
The E-250 is LUXMAN’s latest phono amplifier, inheriting the best design from its predecessor, the E-200, which has been the benchmark for compact phono equalizer amplifiers since it was released in 2008. A new feature added to the E-250 is the ability to switch the load impedance and load capacitance according to the cartridge characteristics for maximum enjoyment of the original detail of analog reproduction. The E-250 allows the listener to fine-tune the settings for each performance, releasing the expression engraved in the grooves and creating a previously unknown musical impression.
Optimizing cartridge load adjustment
The rear panel features a load impedance selector (34k/47k/56k/100kΩ) and a load capacitance selector (0p/100p/220p/320pF) to match the cartridge characteristics and exploit its full potential.
Specially selected built-in MC transformer
The E-250 features a step-up transformer with a 2-stage gain selection function that uses an independent L/R super permalloy core, thus supporting even low-impedance MC cartridges. This creates a rich and expressive musicality that is only possible by boosting the transformer.
Large capacity power circuit
The newly developed low-profile, large-capacity blocking capacitor, along with a discrete configuration regulator circuit used in the power supply circuit, achieves the desired high-quality power environment. The power supply circuit of the E-250 also features the original LUXMAN circular board, which enables smooth transmission of delicate sound signals.
Articulation function
The articulation function is designed to demagnetize the cartridge and MC transformer using the signal current of the music being played when the magnetization of the cartridge has caused the deterioration of the sound quality. The articulation function can help restore the cartridge to its original characteristics and maintain the quality at the highest level.
NF type equalizer circuit
The NF type equalizer circuit in the E-250 features many of LUXMAN's original and custom parts. This equalizer has a high signal-to-noise ratio that reduces noise by connecting the first FET stage in parallel. A monaural switch is provided when playing a mono record, and a bass cut switch is provided to eliminate low-frequency signals that can be generated by distorted records.
Input selection
The input can be selected from the front panel with "one touch" operation by 2 players or by one player with a double arm. The option to easily change the cartridge type with respect to the input allows you to choose a preferred cartridge for each phonograph record.

The E-250's front panel design is finished in blaster white and features lever-type control switches on a compact body.
