Integrating sophistication and technical evolution. Introducing our innovative Z-Series.
Luxman's New Generation Z Series Integrated Amplifiers. The L-507Z is the debut model that heralds our new generation of amplifiers. With our newly developed LIFES amplifier feedback engine, we look to the future of Luxman. This amplifier has achieved a dramatic development in musicality that goes far beyond its class. The L-507Z combines advanced technology with sophisticated functionality. Our innovative new generation of Z Series integrated amplifiers begins with this superb model.
Our latest amplification feedback engine brings music to life with LIFES version 1.0
Luxman will celebrate our 100th anniversary in 2025 and we are proud to announce the successor to our ODNF* feedback circuit, which has contributed to the audio quality of our amplifiers since 1999. We have developed a new amplifier feedback circuit, LIFES*, which has acquired realistic, fresh and rich musicality and overwhelming audio performance. LIFES is based on the technical concept of our landmark ODNF circuit and realizes excellent dynamic characteristics without returning any original audio input signal to the main amplifier, achieving remarkably natural sound quality, almost as if it were a feedback-free circuit. The design was conceived and expanded from first principles using simulation technology and painstaking research. Through repeated checks, rigorous examination and the combination of specially selected components, we have achieved outstanding performance characteristics and a level of quality suitable for use in Luxman's next-generation products. In producing LIFES Version 1.0, by carefully reimagining the entire circuit, we have succeeded in reducing the number of parallel elements while improving performance. Distortion in the amplifier stage has been reduced to less than half that of our previous system. The output stage features a 3-stage triple parallel Darlington push-pull configuration and achieves Class AB power output of 110 W+110 W (8 Ω) and 210 W+210 W (4 Ω). The high output power, comparable to that of a separate power amplifier, effortlessly realizes a natural, energetic soundstage to confidently drive any compatible speaker system and bring out the best in its characteristics.
*ODNF stands for "Distortion Only Negative Feedback".
*LIFES stands for “Luxman Integrated Feedback Engine System”.
Large needle VU level meter and 7-segment LED
Analog needle VU meters are a symbolic design statement of Luxman solid-state integrated amplifiers. The L-507Z features a large dual meter with bright LED backlighting and high response characteristics. We have adopted a display such that the movement of the needles synchronizes with the dynamics of your music. In addition, the newly included 7-segment LEDs show the attenuation level between the left and right level meters so that the amount of current attenuation can be easily seen from the listening position. The level meter backlight and LED display can be turned on and off using the remote control.
Precision-finished aluminum top panel
The rectangular chassis housing design features an ultra-thick front panel with a high-quality sandblasted white finish. This has become a brand identifier of Luxman's current products, with a delicately finished aluminum top panel and a luxurious exterior design adopted for our high-quality amplifiers. The large ventilation slots on the top panel provide sufficient airflow, and the entire chassis housing is made of aluminum panels, providing excellent heat dissipation, ensuring the stable operation of this product.
New LECUA1000
Luxman's new LECUA1000 88-stage electronically controlled attenuator is integrated into the amplifier circuitry, minimizing degradation of sound quality over the entire volume control range. The preamplifier output section features discrete buffer circuits that safely drive the subsequent power amplifier stage.
Highly regulated power circuit
A customized, highly stable EI-type power transformer and newly developed large-capacity filter capacitors (10,000μFx 8) are combined in the power supply unit, which provides instantaneous current supply and voltage stability, easily meeting the needs of dynamic music played through skilled speakers.
Luxman's Original Technologies
The L-507Z employs many of Luxman's unique technologies. Beeline construction directs audio input signals through the optimal shortest path to the speaker output, and non-angled circuit tracking realizes uniform current transmission. A loop-free chassis structure isolates the effects of ground impedance.
Various functions, switches and controls
The L-507Z is equipped with a variety of functions, such as the newly developed built-in MM/MC compatible phono amplifier circuit that supports high-quality analog reproduction. The sensitive tone controls, L-balance control and volume function are convenient for adjusting the sound quality. The separate function decouples the preamp and power amp system, and a new mute button has been added to the front panel.
Newly designed parallel headphone outputs
In addition to the standard φ6.3mm output, a new φ4.4mm output has been added, with independent left and right ground wiring that greatly improves LR separation for the listener who wishes to enjoy truly three-dimensional sound.
High quality input terminals
The RCA input terminals for LINE-1 are made of a copper alloy that offers the conductivity of copper and the durability of brass, providing support for audiophile-grade cables (20mm pitch for LINE-1 and 18mm pitch for LINE2, 3 and 4).
Low impedance transmission
Large, low-resistance, parallel-configured speaker relays transmit the high driving force of a large-scale output circuit without loss. Damping factor has also been improved by wiring directly to the speaker terminals using our proprietary OFC cable that realizes natural signal transmission.
Cast iron feet
The cast iron feet easily support the weight of the L-507Z and protect delicate musical signals from unnecessary vibrations due to a density gradient feature of the design, which gradually decreases from the center to the periphery, making resonance less likely to occur.
Ergonomic aluminum remote control
The substantial and ergonomic aluminum alloy remote control can also operate compatible LUXMAN CD players released after 1996.
