UDP800 is the entry-level of Magetar.
Brushed aluminum front panel is joined to a solid, highly rigid metal chassis to dramatically improve audio and video performance, featuring a distinctive 1.6mm thick double-layer chassis structure and a 3mm thick steel plate under the base, which reduces vibration and noise during playback. Key internal components, including the drive mechanism and power supply, are independently shielded to reduce external magnetic fields. Power is provided by a 60W high-power, low-noise transformer, with Rubycon electrolytic capacitors and filtering, to meet the high transient power requirements of surround sound and high-resolution audio. It can play DVDs, Blu-rays, 4K UHD discs and even multimedia files, with support for h265 and H264. UDP800 supports HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision with stunning HDR to SDR conversion, supporting BT.2020/BT.709/BT.601 color space and 4K upscaling. It can decode DSD64/128, DSD64 Multi-channel and PCM 192kHz/24-bit with support for AIFF, ALAC, APE, FLAC and WAV audio files. It supports various disc formats, such as UHD-BD, BD, BD-R, BD-RE, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, SACD, CD, CD-R/RW, and USB HDD up to 16TB is also supported, with direct access from computer or NAS through local network via DLNA or SMB protocols, for a better multimedia life. The internal audio converter adopts two independent Burr-Brown PCM 1795 DACs, processing the left channel and right channel respectively, and followed by a MUSES8920 OP-AMP with gold-plated XLR or RCA outputs.
