The versatile Marantz AV8805 A preamplifier redefines the audiophile home cinema and music listening experience with unprecedented 13.2-channel processing and support for virtually any high-resolution multi-channel audio format. With the latest surround formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X or Auro-3D you can also immerse yourself in the wonder of three-dimensional audio.
This enhanced audio quality is made possible by our proprietary current feedback and HDAM technologies that send signals through the 15.2ch XLR or 15.2ch RCA outputs. To top it off, you can also stream music throughout your home with HEOS multi-room audio and complete wireless connectivity through the HEOS app or Amazon Alexa Voice Control*, supported by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Apple Airplay. With the Marantz AV8805, you get incredible audio fidelity and unmatched sonic precision.

Sophisticated engineering
The Marantz AV8805 offers an exceptional level of construction to achieve the best pristine reproduction of music and movies. The remarkably rigid base frame (the basic element of all the circuit boards that carry the delicate audio signal) eliminates any possible microphonic effect caused by unwanted vibrations. The oversized toroidal transformer that powers the large main capacitors is fixed on a 5mm aluminum support for added stability. All the electronics are supported by the copper plating of the main frame that ensures the best earth connection at all points and significantly improves the signal-to-noise ratio. A total of 17 single-board HDAM modules are used to achieve the best channel separation to deliver reference-level audio performance. Finally, everything is well protected by a heavy three-piece top cover.
The latest HDMI connectivity; HDCP 2.2 compatible
The Marantz AV8805 is ready for the future, with the latest HDMI specifications and HDCP 2.2 on all HDMI inputs. The preamplifier supports 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, 4:4:4 Pure Colour sub-sampling, High Dynamic Range (HDR) and 21:9 video, 3D and BT.2020 pass-through on all inputs. It is compatible with 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray players, set-top boxes and other 4K Ultra HD source devices. It also supports Dolby Vision and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) pass-through, the new HDR format for broadcast TV.
