CD player
Improving on the award-winning CD6006, the finely tuned CD6007 player features even more carefully selected components and an improved circuit layout.

Rigid feet further eliminate unwanted vibrations while an oversized, low-noise power supply powers the player's digital and analog circuitry.

The new high-quality AK4490 DAC along with two selectable filter options converts digital signals to analogue, which is then sent to the gold-plated output terminals by Marantz's proprietary signal amplifier, the HDAM-SA2 module. Additionally, a new remote control has been included that also controls the PM6007 amplifier.

The 6007 CD player features a newly developed, sophisticated headphone amplifier with gain adjustment to accommodate a wide range of headphone models.

Marantz HDAM Technology
Marantz has developed its own discrete circuits to replace standard ICs. HDAMs (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Modules) are discrete surface-mount components with short mirror image left and right signal paths. These modules perform exactly the same function as op-amps, but drastically outperform them in terms of slew rate and noise reduction, resulting in more dynamic, precise and detailed sound.

In the CD6007, the HDAM-SA2 circuit improves on the performance of the previous HDAM module for even more stable power supply. Quiescent current stability is less affected by power transistor temperatures to maintain sound performance even at high output levels.

Reference quality D/A converter
The CD6007 features a new high-resolution D/A converter. It features a Reference-class AK4490 D/A converter, offering two selectable filter options and a resolution of up to 192 kHz/24-bit and DSD 5.6 MHz for optimum musical fidelity with fast bass, pleasing mids and smooth highs for CD playback and high-resolution formats from USB memory devices.

High current power supply
The audio power supply uses high-speed, high-current Shottky diodes and new higher-value filter capacitors than the previous model. The size of the power capacitors has been increased by 120% to improve current stability and reduce AC noise during the most demanding listening sessions.

Headphone amplifier with HDAM-SA2 and headphone amplifier gain setting (Low/Mid/High)
Compared to the CD6006, the CD6007 features an improved and redesigned headphone amplifier section. The CD6007 inherits the exclusive Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuit with three gain settings (Low/Mid/High) to perfectly match almost any brand of headphones for an optimal listening experience.

However, if you prefer, the headphone amplifier also features an "Off Circuit" function that automatically turns off the headphone amplifier when no headphones are connected to the CD player to avoid unwanted interference or noise.

Plays high-resolution USB audio sources
CD6007 can play MP3, WMA, AAC and WAV, FLAC HD, ALAC, AIFF (up to 192 kHz/24 bit) and DSD (up to 5.6 MHz) files from a connected USB storage device.
