Precision OCXO
in the center
At the heart of the SC-1 is Matrix Audio's custom Oven-Controlled Crystal Oscillator (OCXO) module, which uses a SC-cut crystal. Although this cutting process is extremely complex, it allows the clock module to achieve superior phase noise and aging resistance. Thanks to the oven chamber's precise temperature control, the crystal operates in a highly stable environment, minimizing the impact of ambient temperature fluctuations on phase noise and jitter.
Four independent buffers
Synchronized clock outputs
The SC-1 features four independent buffered clock outputs, all derived from the same source. While ensuring synchronized output, each output is equipped with its own buffering circuit, providing not only stable output impedance but also excellent drive capabilities. Whether using a single output or multiple outputs simultaneously, it delivers precise and stable performance, meeting a variety of needs.

Ultra-low phase noise
For a clock source device, the output noise is closely related to the internal OCXO clock module. However, the actual output noise is not exactly the same as the OCXO output noise because the output buffering circuit introduces some performance loss. Therefore, the phase noise at the device's output port provides a more practical reference value. Thanks to the SC-1's excellent design, ultra-low phase noise of over -118 dBc at a frequency of 1 Hz is achieved on the clock output ports, setting a new industry-leading standard and providing purer and more stable clock signals.
Clear status indication
The SC-1's front panel features a heating status LED. When the oven chamber is heating, the indicator flashes; once heating is complete, the indicator stays on. This simple and intuitive design allows you to immediately know the device's operating status.

We offer two output waveform options: sine wave and square wave, to meet different device requirements or your needs. The square wave output is particularly recommended as it offers greater locking accuracy than the sine wave, providing a more precise clock signal.

Consistent performance
Even with the SC-1's precise clock system, a slight drift or deviation in timing is inevitable. To address this, we've designed a 1PPS reference signal input terminal on the rear panel. When connected to an external second-based reference signal source, the device automatically performs calibration. The calibration status is indicated by the LED on the front panel. We also offer free calibration services to ensure device accuracy. CBVB
Vibration absorption system
Equipped with Matrix Audio's CBVB vibration-absorbing feet, the SC-1 effectively isolates external vibrations, minimizing interference and ensuring clock stability. This provides pure and stable audio clock signals for an enhanced listening experience.

Automatic linear feeder
The SC-1 features an advanced linear power supply with automatic voltage detection. It features sensitive voltage sensing, allowing for precise switching of the transformer windings based on the input voltage. Additionally, overvoltage and undervoltage protection functions are always active, ensuring comprehensive protection for stable device operation. Specifically, dual multi-stage power supplies independently power the oven control circuit and the clock circuit, effectively eliminating any interference from oven chamber power fluctuations on the clock circuit. This exceptional design ensures superior clock signal quality in every respect.
