At the heart of the 2nd generation Mu-so is Naim's award-winning music streaming platform, developed by 25 engineers over three years to deliver the ultimate in performance when playing your music collection, the world of internet radio or music streaming services such as TIDAL and Spotify. These acclaimed innovations are unique to Naim streamers such as the Uniti range and dedicated network players, including the iconic ND 555.
The all-new Digital Signal Processor (DSP) delivers a higher performance of 2000 MPS (million instructions per second), compared to the 150 MPS single-core processor in the previous Mu-so. This means you can enjoy even more of your music.
We’ve developed a new limiting algorithm that keeps each speaker in Mu-so 2nd generation under control at high volumes. The new limiter is designed to only be active at very high volumes to maintain clarity and ensure greater long-term reliability.
Mu-so 2nd Generation’s 450 Watts of musical power are combined with improved and optimised drive units – a joint development between Naim and Focal’s R&D teams.
Focal has been producing reference loudspeakers since 1979 and its experience has brought the precision and performance of the speakers to new levels.
The new, intuitive interface features 15 touch-sensitive buttons in a solid, bright volume knob with a proximity sensor that turns on the display.

The 2nd generation Mu-so features a die-cast aluminium body with a new gloss grey finish.
It may look similar from the outside, but inside the 2nd generation Mu-so most of the components have been updated to improve performance.
The cabinet has been redesigned to create 13% more internal volume for bigger and better bass. Cabinets and grills have been redesigned to provide greater rigidity to eliminate and control vibrations.
The iconic cooling fins are now more compact while retaining their extraordinary efficiency and include the Naim patented Wi-Fi antenna.
