A35.8 – eight-channel, fully bridgeable amplifier with balanced input
The A35.8 is Primare’s most powerful and flexible multi-channel amplifier, designed to meet the needs of virtually any high-performance multi-channel system with the ability to bridge each pair of channels in mono for incredible power delivery and numerous system build options, including 1500 watts of total power in a fully bridged, bi-amped stereo configuration.

Main features

XLR and RCA inputs for each of the eight amplifier channels with 150 watts per channel output into 8 ohms, for a maximum power of 1500 watts.

Each pair of output channels can be bridged, allowing the amplifier to power virtually any multi-channel speaker configuration, either alone or in conjunction with an A35.2 stereo amplifier.

For an extraordinarily powerful two-channel bi-amped system, a fully bridged A35.8 delivers 4 x 375 watts peak power, or 750 watts per pair per channel.

Additional convenience features include automatic power-on from standby mode and automatic standby after twenty minutes of no input signal, which can be disabled, allowing the A35.8 to remain on indefinitely if desired.

Amplifier technology

The A35.8's ingenious circuit layout design ensures the most direct and uniform power distribution from the power supply to the amplifier modules, which are housed in heat sinks that isolate them from any power supply noise. This innovative construction, in turn, isolates the input and output stages from any noise produced by the amplifier modules. Input and output signals are transmitted to and from the amplifier module via a continuous ribbon circuit board inserted into a channel in the heat sinks to ensure the shortest possible signal path.

System configurations

The A35.8's bridging capabilities allow it to be used in a variety of system configurations, with or without the addition of a stereo amplifier, to meet most multichannel system requirements. Some examples:

5.1, 7.1 and 5.1.2 channel systems can be powered by a single A35.8
5.1.4, 7.1.2 and 7.1.4 channel systems can be driven by combining one A35.8 with several A35.2 stereo amplifiers
The 9.1.6 and 13.1 channel Auro 3D systems can be configured using two A35.8 amplifiers
