How to make the best-selling Rega turntable in history sound even better, be even easier to use, be accessible to an even wider audience of enthusiasts? The answer is to integrate the Planar 1 turntable and the Fono Mini A2D phono stage, a simple solution but not trivial to implement.

The Rega Planar 1 Plus benefits from optimised circuitry with the removal of the USB connection present on the Fono Mini A2D and the direct connection of the shielded tonearm cables to the phono stage preventing any external interference.

This translates into improved audio quality and greater ease of use, the Planar 1 Plus can be plugged into any standard line input, without the need for an amplifier with phono input or a dedicated phono preamplifier.

The Rega Planar 1 Plus uses a 24V ultra low noise motor, the RB110 tonearm and is supplied with the Rega Carbon MM cartridge, sets up in 30 seconds and you can connect straight into any line input or a pair of active speakers. No fuss, no compromise - just pick your favourite LP, sit back and enjoy!

Integrated Phono Stage – The integrated phono stage is designed to amplify the signal from MM cartridges, so you can connect the Planar 1 Plus to any standard line input.

Tonearm – The RB110 tonearm uses the latest technology introduced by Rega in their top of the range tonearms, zero tolerance bearings ensure minimal friction (patent pending). Automatic bias adjustment makes the Planar 1 the most Plug & Play turntable we have ever made. New ergonomics, redesigned headshell for improved usability and aesthetics.

Cartridge – The Planar 1 Plus comes supplied with the Rega Carbon cartridge fitted 24V Synchronous Motor – The Planar 1 Plus uses a 24v synchronous motor. This has helped to reduce background noise and improve rotational stability.

Base – The base with high gloss acrylic finish and the new position of the on/off switch make it even more elegant and easy to fit into any environment. The proposed finishes: black, white, walnut.

Pin Fixation – Completely redesigned brass pin to provide better fixation and reduce stress on the pin itself while reducing potential energy transfer (patent pending).

Platter – Phenolic resin platter with a higher mass and a thickness of 23mm to ensure a better flywheel effect and better rotational stability.

Feet – Feet designed to provide greater stability and reduce the transfer of unwanted vibrations.

Engine cover – engine cover with integrated cooling.

Counterweight – 111g “Plug&Play” counterweight.
