Arm
The Planar 2 features the brand new RB220 tonearm with zero-tolerance bearings for minimal friction (Patent Pending), an even more rigid vertical support and a Rega tonearm tube. The arm has been specifically designed for this turntable.
Pin
The Planar 2 has a new 11mm thick brass spindle (Rega designed) which provides a better fit in the bearing well and less stress, this prevents unwanted vibrations being transferred to the sub-platter.
Base
The high-gloss acrylic base and the new position of the on/off switch make it even more elegant and easy to fit into any environment. Two finishes were offered at the launch of the Planar 2: high-gloss black and high-gloss white.
Motor
New 24v motor with very low vibrations with a new assembly and a new electronic board.
Platter
New 10mm “Optiwhite” glass platter that guarantees greater rotation stability.
