While not part of any regular REL product line, it is instead a standalone solution for anyone who owns and loves vintage audio equipment or its modern equivalents, which we call retro. With different aspirations, the Classic 98 offers a slightly softer touch, delivering a broad, room-filling bass. While it may forgo a touch of the speed, clarity, and deeper bass that our standard models, like the T/9x, are known for, it makes up for it with its inviting warmth. Paper Cone Mastery: Lightweight, heat-pressed paper makes up the outer two-thirds of the cone. The inner cap is a premium, air-dried paper that stiffens the driver, allowing the Classic 98 to outperform many of our past products. A natural butyl surround delivers smooth, accurate dynamics for long-lasting performance.

Today, we've leveraged one of our latest amplifier designs: a lightning-fast, high-current Class D amplifier. Transmitting at 5.8 GHz, it flawlessly transmits low-level stereo or .1/LFE signals without compression. However, it's worth noting that high-level connectivity is not supported with the HT-Air MKII.
