The Rotel CD14 MKII plays all CDs with stunning clarity and detail. The 32-bit DAC from Texas Instruments is supported by an independent power supply, as well as the servos, completely isolated from the audio circuitry, reducing noise and distortion.
The MKII model includes upgrades and innovations, both acoustically and in performance, including improvements in the power supply stage, circuit layout with new isolation techniques, as well as the use of newly selected audio components, for more accurate and detailed sound reproduction.
The CD14MKII's digital-to-analog conversion is handled by a Texas Instruments Premium Series 32-bit DAC with custom Rotel external analog output filters. The digital and analog circuits in the DAC section are driven by independent voltage/current supplies that eliminate unwanted distortion.
The audio output is both analogue RCA and digital coaxial, allowing the CD14MKII to be used only as a transport mechanism, leaving the digital signal to be managed by an external DAC.
The CD tray loading mechanism has been further refined and made quieter than before. Remote control, front panel buttons, graphic display, RS232, 12V trigger and IR remote input complete the rich equipment of this Rotel CD.
