Product Description
Rotel’s second most powerful stereo amplifier, at 200 watts per channel, provides plenty of power to effortlessly drive even the largest hi-fi systems. And like its smaller brother, the RB-1582 MKII is designed to capture the finest details in music while still providing plenty of power for extremely dynamic passages. It achieves this complex dual requirement through meticulous attention to circuit design and component selection.

The RB-1582 MKII’s high performance begins with its large toroidal transformer, paired with a total capacitance of 60,000 µF stored in special “slit foil” capacitors to provide completely stable power to the output stage. The slit foil capacitors have the ability to charge and discharge extremely quickly, ensuring signal fidelity in, for example, orchestral crescendos or kick drum hits. The left and right channels are monoblock designs (after the toroidal transformer), and all ground wiring is star-connected on a copper plate to ensure a low signal-to-noise ratio. The discrete output stage consists of 10 high-current bipolar transistors per channel. Input options are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connectors.
