Serblin & Son Frankie monoblocco - Pair of mono final amplifiers - READY FOR DELIVERY

Frankie monoblock uses the same circuit topology as the Frankie integrated amplifier where the two original class A/B stereo channels with current feedback are used as the two halves of a single channel in a balanced monophonic configuration (boxer).

The power transformer has been custom made to meet the new condition in which the amplifier is called to work so it is not simply a brutally bridged Frankie integrated amplifier, which would produce a lot of voltage and limited current, but it is actually a new “tuning” with the correct proportion of voltage and current.

An RCA input is also present to support more flexible use of the amplifier.
To preserve the best sonic result even when powered through the RCA input, we used a high-performance Texas Instruments balanced driver powered by a dedicated power supply section with discrete component regulators.
This driver also works as a current buffer so we make sure the amplifier is best driven by a low impedance source as it does in the natural balanced mode.

Short circuit and DC output protections are built into the amplifier and controlled by a microprocessor.
Fault or overload conditions are displayed via the 4 front LEDs.

The Frankie integrated's two front knobs have been kept in place to preserve the family design but flattened to act as touch-activated power switches.

Frankie monoblocco is also equipped with an automatic ignition function activated by an input signal.

There is also an infrared sensor to be able to turn Frankie monoblocco on/off via remote control.
