Characteristics

Filtron is a single input, 7 power output power distribution device for advanced audio and video electronics. In all versions of Filtron, the unit's output and input sockets are custom upgraded in our laboratory to meet the voltage and current requirements of our circuits.

-Power Line Filter. The unit contains a 30A ultra-low leakage power line filter, which provides excellent protection against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.

- Power Isolation. Filtron's circuitry uses 2 balanced toroidal power isolation transformers, constructed from ultra-pure copper coils, with 4-edge binding topology on the secondary and 400Hz toroidal core plates with custom finished surfaces. This specific design forms a highly efficient, extreme performance, zero ringing transformer that not only constrains the entire field to the core material, but also eliminates radiation from any type of electromagnetic interference. Filtron provides 2, 3 or 4 balanced isolated power outputs (depending on user preference) for pre-amplifiers, tuners, digital converters, class D amplifier stages, phono stages, turntable motors and other low voltage consumption electronics.

- Virtual Grounding. Filtron's circuit provides a highly efficient virtual grounding, capable of eliminating (when connected to properly grounded power cables) all grounding problems in any system.

- Ultra High Purity Wiring. Filtron's internal wiring is based on 7N copper conductors or hybrid copper, silver and gold conductors, as used on Signal Projects' Atlantis and Andromeda power cables (depending on version). The exceptional characteristics of our power conductors ensure greatly increased conductivity and therefore the lowest possible delay between the internal components of the unit. This is helping Filtron to perform with impressive clarity, with superb neutrality and excellent balance beyond the limits of audible frequencies, and at the same time reveal plenty of detail from all 3 dimensions of the stage with excellent accuracy.

-Machined from solid billet frame. Filtron's frame is machined from solid aircraft grade billet aluminum on one of today's most accurate CNC machines. The topology and placement of the internal components have been designed and calculated by custom software, in order to provide the optimal shielding and maximum protection against magnetic coupling and any type of interference emitted from outside.
