Technical specifications
Gondor is a dual chassis integrated power management unit with a single input and 10 outputs. The main features of the unit are:
– the Gondor filter board is based on a very efficient, very powerful and very low loss circuit, capable of handling up to 50 A in total at 230 V
– Gondor uses a microprocessor that analyses the characteristics of the mains supply and, based on the feedback, activates and deactivates the filtering sections, so that the unit always provides ultra-pure power.
– the unit provides 5 very high current outputs and 5 isolated ones (balanced or unbalanced – depending on customer request)
– Gondor uses an ultra-low resistance virtual ground circuit, which helps all connected devices discharge noise currents very quickly and efficiently.
– Gondor’s internal wiring is based on Signal Projects 7N copper conductors (for the CX version) or Signal Projects hybrid conductors (for the CSG version). The exceptional characteristics of our power conductors ensure significantly increased conductivity and therefore the lowest possible propagation delay between the internal components of the unit. This is helping Gondor to perform with impressive clarity, with superb neutrality and excellent balance beyond the limits of audible frequencies, while at the same time revealing plenty of detail from all 3 dimensions of the stage with excellent precision.
– The dual frame unit is machined from solid aircraft grade billet aluminum on one of today’s most accurate CNC machines. The topology and placement of the internal components have been designed and calculated by custom software to provide optimum shielding and maximum protection against magnetic coupling and any other type of externally emitted interference.
