Technical specifications
Poseidon S40 is a 7-socket (EU, UK, US, AU) power distribution device for advanced audio and video electronics. In all versions of Poseidon S40, the sockets are custom upgraded in our laboratory, in order to meet the voltage and current requirements of our circuits.
-Power line filter. The unit contains a 40A ultra-low leakage power line filter against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.
- Power Isolation. The Poseidon S40 circuit uses 4 balanced toroidal power isolation transformers (depending on the customer’s preferred model). Our isolation transformers are made of ultra-pure copper coils, with 4-edge binding topology on the secondary and 400Hz toroidal core plates with custom finished surfaces. The specific “recipe” is to create a highly efficient, extreme performance, zero ringing transformer that not only binds the entire field to the core material, but also eliminates radiation from any type of electromagnetic interference. The Poseidon S40 provides 4 or 5 balanced isolated power outputs (depending on user preference) for pre-amplifiers, tuners, digital converters, class D amplifier stages, phono stages, turntable motors and other low voltage electronics.
- Virtual Grounding. Thanks to the unique design of our toroidal power transformers and the Poseidon S40's rigid wiring configuration, the unit provides a highly efficient virtual grounding circuit that can eliminate (when connected or properly grounded power cables) all grounding problems in any system.
- High purity copper wiring. The internal wiring of Poseidon S40 is based on the 7N copper conductors (CX version) or the 7N copper/silver/gold conductors (CSG version) used on the Andromeda and Golden Sequence power cables. The unique characteristics of these power conductors provide a significantly increased conductivity and therefore the lowest possible propagation delay between the internal components of the unit. This is helping Poseidon S40 to perform with impressive clarity, with superb neutrality and excellent balance beyond the limits of audible frequencies, and at the same time to reveal many details and to draw the 3 dimension of the soundstage with excellent precision.
-Machined from solid. The chassis of this power unit is machined from solid T8 aircraft grade billet aluminum in one of the most accurate CNC machines available today. The topology and positioning of the internal components of the Poseidon S40 have been designed and calculated by custom software, in order to provide optimal shielding and maximum protection against magnetic couplings and any type of interference emitted from outside.
