Better than "integrated"
Compared to “standalone” word clocks, integrated word clocks share system resources (power supplies, etc.) with other components, all interconnected on the same circuit. There are many situations that interfere with the clock signal, such as electrical pulses caused by changes in system load, interference from other electronic components, noise from the network, and jitter effects caused by the system. This is why a standalone word clock source is essential: less interference on the clock source ensures the purest possible clock signal.
