The USB Converter 590 can process music files in PCM format with a maximum sampling rate of 192 kHz and a word length of 24 bits. A powerful digital signal processor handles communication with the computer. The received data is buffered in a large RAM memory.
Reference watch
The 590's high-precision clock ensures optimum sound, using technology adapted from the 540 SACD player. A word clock signal is available on the rear panel BNC socket to allow synchronisation with an external DAC.
Power supply
The 590 is powered via the USB connection to your computer. Extensive filtering is applied to ensure that high-frequency noise components and instabilities cannot affect the performance of the reference clock or propagate through interconnect cables to affect associated devices and degrade sound quality.
