The rationale behind the development of the new SR-007MK2 headphones was to deliver a powerful, deep sound previously unattainable with earphones. STAX engineers developed a unique new electrode structure. Visible through the outer case, gold-plated on the outer edge, this new electrode has no holes unlike conventional STAX speakers, providing a larger diaphragm vibration area that allows for a rich, powerful sound while retaining all the delicacy that STAX is famous for.

RIGID METAL HOUSING
To maintain clear, distortion-free sound, it is very important that nothing but the diaphragm vibrates. Inside the STAX SR-007MK2, the sound element is encased in a thick, insulated resin case that is firmly attached to the rigid body. The results are nothing short of spectacular.
