SR-009 S - Top of the Range Electrostatic Headphones
The SR-009S adopts the second generation electrodes (MLER2). MLER (Multi-Layer-ElectRodes) is the name of the multi-layer electrode launched with the SR-009.

Features
The new SR-009S headphones, in addition to the hybrid &N cable and genuine leather earpads, have the following implementations:

• New earcups with new electrodes: If the fixed electrodes are thinner, the air resistance will be decreased and the sound transition will be improved. On the other hand, thinner electrodes have lower rigidity and are self-generated vibrations, so the sound becomes “dirty”. With the SR-009S, there is a further evolution of the electrodes consolidated with the SR-009, applying the present technologies. The edges of the electrode holes are thinner through a post-etching process to reduce the air resistance, and the sound permeability has been improved. In addition, the gold plating process adds a further decrease in the electrode vibrations. Finally, the purity of the sound has been achieved by reducing the resistance of the electrode itself.

• The reinforced aluminum case firmly encloses the sound element contributing to a clear sound. In addition, the thickness of the case has been reduced to the limit making the flow of condensation and rarefaction of the air of the sound element become smoother.

• The mesh of the sound element protection grille has been intensified, giving it more roundness, which lowers the influence of reflection and improves the accuracy of the sound.
