All components used are custom-made, dual FETs for the primary stage and for the first time in STAX history J-FET transistors for the output stage are used. The excellent amplification of the low-noise J-FET as well as the high-current emitter circuitry make the most of the performance of the headphones. In this way the amplifier offers an exact reproduction of musical details.
