Direct-Drive Engine System
It follows a long Denon tradition of direct-drive motor systems, with rotation speed that does not fluctuate regardless of the speed or load selected. Simple to use, it requires little maintenance and reaches full speed almost instantly. Denon produced its first direct-drive turntable, the DN-302F, for production studios in 1970.
Denon Original Static Balanced S-Shaped Tonearm
Featuring a carefully designed S-shaped curved tonearm with optimized tracking angle at any point on the record. This newly improved Denon® tonearm features cartridge weight adjustment, anti-skating adjustment (0-3g) and newly developed tonearm height adjustment (0-9mm). It gives you the ultimate flexibility to customize your turntable with your favorite cartridges or custom mat.
Space Vector PWM Motor Control
Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SV-PWM) is a new design for controlling motor rotation. SV-PWM is simply an algorithm used to control the PWM (pulse width modulation) module, which essentially powers the motor. SV-PWM greatly reduces harmonics in the motor that can cause overheating and torque fluctuations, and provides reliable continuous voltage and frequency output for long periods of listening at any rotation speed or load, via continuous rotation speed feedback.
SMPS Power Supply
Switch Mode Power Supply (SMPS) greatly improves turntable performance by avoiding the use of a linear transformer and unnecessary vibration. It allows the power supply to be integrated into the turntable, eliminating any external power transformer or power supplies dangling behind the product. It also avoids voltage and frequency fluctuations due to variations in the mains supply.
Adjustable insulating feet
Feet are essential to protect the playback from any vibrations picked up by the surface the turntable is placed on. But these feet are also adjustable to bring the platter perfectly into balance for the most accurate tracking of the stylus in the groove.
