The CSA100 integrated amplifier is Copland's latest work, which once again combines the advantages of using tubes and transistors, taking up the concept of synectic design that had already made Copland's hybrid amplifiers famous in the past.

The CSA100 amplifier employs a 2 x 100W into 8 ohms transistor power amplifier, current feedback and fed by a dual triode valve preamplifier.
A single tube is responsible for the CSA100’s line amplification, demonstrating surprising efficiency. The double triode tube operates at high voltage in a setup optimized for maximum linearity, taking care of voltage amplification only. A MOS-FET circuit provides the “brute force” to drive the line stage output and the feedback circuit, ensuring maximum collaboration between the world of voltage-governed tubes and current-controlled transistor technology.

In this integrated, the warm and colorful charm of the old tube design is reborn. In the line stage, the tube gives the sound life, spaciousness and dynamics that are difficult to find in amplifiers that rely only on solid-state technology.

For vinyl enthusiasts, the CSA100 has RIAA input for MM cartridges. And for digital enthusiasts, there’s an excellent D/A converter with multiple S/PDIF, PCM, and DSD decoding capabilities via the ES9018 Reference 32-bit DAC in quad-mono configuration, from 8 mono to 2 stereo. There’s also a headphone output with dedicated circuitry.
