Created for the dedicated music lover, the CSA70 is designed to deliver exceptional audio performance that belies its power and price. The CSA70 offers four digital inputs, three analog inputs, line out capability, as well as a pre-out terminal, a front facing 6.3mm headphone output and a 70 Watts per channel power amplifier that will surprise users who thought their speakers were power hungry. For vinyl enthusiasts we have included a very good phono pre-amp.

Unlike its bigger brothers, the CSA100/CSA150, the CSA70 does not use tubes in the line stage. The CSA70 preamplifier section is a solid-state architecture with incredibly low distortion. The CSA70 boasts the same power amplifier technology as the CSA100/CSA150 with an inherently faster feedback structure than conventional amplifiers and a wide large-signal frequency response. The amplifier is robustly built and designed to handle the most awkward dynamic loads that can be presented by loudspeakers, which contributes to the amplifiers excellent transient handling ability.

Path lengths through the CSA70 amplifiers are minimized by keeping the entire audio electrical architecture on a single PCB, minimizing susceptibility to RF interference and other extraneous noise pickup.
The CSA70 uses a precision audio quality motorized volume control. Unlike most digital volume attenuators, it requires no additional electronics in the signal path.

The amplifier is protected against several fault conditions that could be dangerous to the amplifier or speakers, including DC offset, overcurrent conditions, and thermal overload, increasing its immunity to external abuse.
